hello friends and neighbors!

everything’s always bustling at House 2.0, but right now we’ve got even more movement than normal going on: Isuru and Rachel are moving to Fort Greene to start their next adventures and prepare for a new arrival; Tom and Nate will be moving in; Deedee, Miro, and Tony are all changing rooms; Delphine is learning tai-chi; and Oscar is barking loudly.

to celebrate we’re putting our best foot forward and having a hello-goodbye party on
Saturday March 27th
from 9pm onwards
at 56 W. 39th Street #4 (between 5th and 6th avenues). take any subway to 42nd Street to get here.

A tumultuous decade is behind us, and a fresh start awaits! House 2.0 will be transforming in 2010, as will the rest of the world.

Tony, Miro, Deedee, Delphine and Oscar invite you to usher in 2010 with style at 56 w 39th St., Floor 4

invite friends and come in fancy attire
bring drinks to share or $20 for lots of champagne

bring a printed copy of the invitation, since Times Square is our backyard.

best approach is from the east by taking 4, 5 or 6 subway to Grand Central, but you can also come via BDFV to 42nd St.

As summer begins to wind down, the members of House 2.0 are reconvening after their holiday travels, including a wedding, trips to Sri Lanka and Slovakia, and a cross-country karaoke road trip.

Now that we’re back, we’re ready to get partying!

House 2.0 invites you to our Kick Ass Party Friday April 17th for KASS MS WALK.

The NYC MS walk is April 19th and I’ve created a team: KASS - stands for “Kevin Allan Stanbury Supporters” (my Daddy!) and “Kick-ASS” to find a cure :) House 2.0 and Friends are walking on Sunday to raise money for the MS Society.

We hope you can join the fun for Friday night’s party and Sunday’s walk.

Friday = Party 10:00pm

Sunday = Team Walk 8:30am

Below is some general team and walk information:

1. Click here to donate to the walk and/or the team.

2. Join the team as a walker! (Be sure to choose the Team option for Manhattan.)

3. Support my mom’s team next month in Michigan!

Please join us at House 2.0 for a fundraising party and a special presentation by Liberian civil war survivor and acclaimed child rights activist Kimmie Weeks.

We will provide refreshments and music to last you through the night. It would be terrific if you could let us know ASAP if you think you can join us.

Kimmie Weeks & Youth Action International: We are excited to host Kimmie Weeks, the youthful humanitarian since age fourteen. Faced with civil war, human suffering and death at age 9, Kimmie committed himself to creating a better world for children. Over the years, Kimmie has formed partnerships and led organizations that have provided education to thousands of students in West Africa, lobbied the disarmament of child soldiers, and provided health care and recreation supplies to children.

In 1998, the Liberian government of Charles Taylor attempted to assassinate Kimmie because of his work with child soldiers. He was forced to flee Liberia and was granted political asylum in the United States. Kimmie started a group called Youth Action International, which is working to alleviate poverty and support development in five post war African countries. Today, YAI is working to address issue of child soldiers, unemployment, AIDS, sexual exploitation of children, education, recreation and basic health care. Kimmie Weeks received his bachelors from Amherst College (where we met him) and his Masters from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as Executive Director of Youth Action International and also serves as a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council. The Global Agenda Council convenes 15 to 30 of the most innovative and relevant minds in fields of critical importance to the world as a whole. Other members of the Global Agenda Council include Bertie Ahern - Prime Minister of Ireland and Andrew Crockett – President of JP Morgan Chase.

During our party, Kimmie will share some of his experiences surviving the Liberian war as well as an overview of the history, vision, and work of YAI.

We appeal for your donation - there is no minimum or maximum gift, or cost to attend. We hope this fundraiser will leave you enlightened, well fed, and thoroughly inspired.

Hello/Goodbye Party This Saturday!
